The two twin hereditary princes, 6, wanted to give their special touch to a party that once again appeared halved due to the absence of the princess. Before the parade, which was attended by a crowd of Monegasques, many of them waving flags of the Principality, the two brothers had shown themselves side by side at the exit of the Monaco Cathedral, in which a mass was celebrated for the national anniversary. In the absence of Charlene, Jacques and Gabriella – who held hands and tried to be smiling – were entrusted to the see, the princesses Stéphanie and Caroline. Charlene still needs rest

In an interview that appeared two days ago in the local newspaper Monaco-Matin, the prince Alberto II he had declared that he wanted to go “in the next few days” to visit his wife Charlene, still recovering. As for the state of health of the princess, always cloaked in a veil of mystery, Alberto specified that “she is better”, adding then that “she still needs rest and tranquility”. The former swimmer laments «strong tiredness – said the wife – not only physical, which can only be cured with a period of rest ». The place where Charlene is trying to regain her lost health is held tightly secret. What is certain – and the prince’s words confirmed this – is that it is not located on the Rocca, in the Principality. On the Facebook account of Monaco it is explained that “to preserve the tranquility essential to the improvement of her health, the princess’s convalescence place will remain strictly confidential”.

Charlene Lynette Wittstock, 43, born in 1978 in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), former high-level swimmer, wife of Albert II of Monaco since 2011, underwent a surgical operation on August 13 on which few details were leaked. In September, the princess was hospitalized again as an emergency due to the complications of a serious ear, nose and throat infection. At the beginning of October, a new operation under general anesthesia linked to the infection.
